REI (Recreational Equipment Inc.), also known as REI Co-op is an American company established as consumer cooperation. The company sells camping/travel gear and sporting goods. REI Co-op teamed up with Capital One (the bank) and together, they released the REI Co-op World Elite MasterCard. It’s accepted anywhere a MasterCard is accepted, may that be an outlet, online store, or an ATM.

How to Apply for REI Mastercard
If you want to apply for the REI MasterCard, there are some simple procedures you have to go through for the application to be completed. Don’t worry: the process is quite straightforward and will take between 10 and 30 minutes of your time. So here is what you are going to do:

- There, you can find a green Apply Now button. Click on it
- All that’s left to do now is log into your REI account and the application process will get started
How to Register
To manage your REI MasterCard/activate it, you must have an account. In case you don’t have one, follow the instructions below to set up an REI Capital One online account:
- Visit https://rei.capitalone.com/
- There, select the Set Up My Account option. It’s a blue button, hard to miss
- On the next page, you have to submit the following information: Last Name, SSN (Social Security Number) as well as Date of Birth
- After you’ve entered all the required information, click on Get Started button
- Finishing up, follow the on-screen instructions and soon you’ll have your Capital One online account set up and ready to go.
Login to REI Mastercard Online Account

Since REI Co-op MasterCard is made mostly of recycled materials, there are certain benefits available for those customers who have a passion for the outdoors and sports. Below is the list of the REI Co-op MasterCard benefits:

- More than that, you’ll get a 5% cash back if you make a purchase at REI locations
- There are no annual or transactions fees

Making Payments with Rei Credit Card
With the REI Credit card, there are three ways you can make payments – online, by phone, or by mail. For online payments, you have to log into your account, select the Pay My Account option, and follow the instructions. Also, you can choose whether it’s a one-time payment or you wish to set up AutoPay by selecting the One Time or Recurring options respectively.
To make payments over the phone, just dial the number printed on the back of your REI Credit Card and follow the on-call instructions. At last, you can make payments via the mail. To do that, write the number of your credit card on the check and send it to one of these addresses:

I can’t seem to log in with my phone number. What do I need to do?First of all, see that you entered the right number. It’s a common problem when it comes to Smartphones.
